When shooting in a studio, bring a preferred toy or other pet item. And in all cases, bring treats with you.

4. After the photography session

Most pet pictures will be provided digitally. The pet photographer will generally let you preview the proofs so you can identify your preferred photographs and you for that reason don’t wind up paying for photographs that you do not want. Be sure to ask if the photographs will be delivered untouched, or will the photographer use software to do some post-production retouch work (where the photographer corrects lighting, color grades or gets rid of imperfections, etc from the photos).

Just how much does Pet Photography cost?

Animal photography pricing will need to be set based upon the kind of photography (studio or in the field) needed and the level of equipment and skill required to get the shot for the client. Some photographer will charge per session and others might charge by print. Communicate with the photographer about their pay structure and how they break it down. And make sure to discuss how they wish to handle the photograph rights as purchasing complete rights to the images will add to the final cost.

Try to find a deal if you can. Professional pet photography can be costly. If you have limited funds, keep your eye out for a discount.
